BEGINNERS AIRBRUSH MODEL / WAR GAME 2 Day Painting workshop
Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th March 2023 10am - 4pm
This workshop is for some one that has never touched an airbrush, some one that as had ago but not getting to grips with one, or maybe been airbrushing for some time but not really knowing what they are doing and want to get a better understanding of the airbrush and airbrushing.
Learn how to paint your war gaming armies/ scale models with this 2-day course that will teach you how to use an airbrush and traditional airbrush techniques to get your models painted quickly to a good table top standard.
Day 1: Introduction to the 2 day course including a demonstration of airbrush types, their usage, maintenance and care, and how the airbrush works, this is followed by practising basic and intermediate airbrush strokes, after a break for lunch we will take a look and discuss the different types of compressors, airbrush hoses and there uses, moving on then to painting on to hard surfaces using Badger Minitaire airbrush paints also learning how to change colours in the airbrush quickly and efficiently, during the day there will be time for questions and demonstrating.
DAY 2: We will start with a look at airbrush paints the different types the pros and cons and uses, which paints to use to achieve the best effects and finishes, during the two day workshop we will be talking about basic colour theory, moving on we will demonstrating and talking in depth about base coating, panel lining, pre shading, pre highlighting, zenithal painting techniques, and taking your model painting from a table top standard to new levels. You will then be putting all this new found knowledge in to practise ether on our models or your own, after a break for lunch we will talk and demonstrate the different types of masking materials that can be used in painting our models, after which you will be painting models. At the end of day two we will have a roundup of the weekend.
ALL EQUIPMENT & MATERIALS ARE PROVIDED, MAXIMUM 4 STUDENTS, IN OUR PURPOSE BUILT FRIENDLY RELAXED CLASS ROOM
On day two if you wish to bring along your own airbrush, paints, and a model or two then please do so or you can continue to use our equipment
Coffee, tea and light refreshments will be provided, you will need to bring your own food
